Union Station Telus 25 York path closure

Popular pedestrian connection at Union Station to close Feb. 8

The accessible indoor ramp connecting Union Station to 25 York Street is set to close permanently.

Feb 8, 2023

As part of the ongoing Union Station Enhancement Project, there will be changes to one of the customer routes leading to the Union Station Bus Terminal, Scotiabank Arena and other destinations south of the station.

Starting Feb. 8, a detour will be put in place as the VIA-Telus connection ramp will be closed permanently while Union undergoes much needed updates.

Here are some photos showing you a few different angles of the path that is now closed.

Construction crews need to close the VIA-Telus connection to build what will be the new south passenger concourse at Union Station, spanning from Bay to York Streets.

Customers headed from Union Station to areas south including Scotiabank Arena, the Union Station Bus Terminal, Bremner Boulevard, Union Plaza and 25 York Street, can follow signs which will detour customers to a new temporary set of stairs and an accessible ramp, located in Union Station’s south hallway (near the entrance to the Bay Concourse).

Staff at the station will be available to assist.
