Initial Business Case and supplementary analysis
The Initial Business Case explores how the Yonge North Subway Extension will serve the heart of major growth centres while significantly cutting travel times and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
The accompanying supplementary analysis details the proposed alignment that is moving forward for additional analysis and design as part of the Preliminary Design Business Case planning process. This route takes into consideration the potential issues associated with construction and operations near certain lands adjacent to the alignment.
Neighbourhood Stations Analysis
This study evaluated the benefits and trade-offs of Cummer, Clark and Royal Orchard stations to inform decisions on which fourth station to include in the project along with Steeles, Bridge and High Tech stations. The analysis also explored the performance of a potential fifth station to include in the project.
Environmental Project Report Addendum
The updated Environmental Project Report Addendum looks at the entire footprint of the Yonge North Subway Extension, from the existing Finch Station to north of the Richmond Hill Centre area. The report brings the existing environmental studies for the project up to date based on the latest plans for the extension, including the updated route, stations and train storage facility.
The public review period for this addendum ended on March 14, 2022.
