Barrie Rail Corridor Expansion
The expansion of the Barrie rail corridor will add a second track between Lansdowne Avenue in Toronto and Allandale Waterfront GO Station in Barrie. It also includes upgrades at nine existing GO stations, as well as to existing structures within the corridor. A new layoever facility will also be added in Bradford West Gwillimbury. The corridor expansion program will enable increased GO service on the Barrie Line.
