Third Party Works Adjacent to Metrolinx Transit Corridors & Owned Assets

The Metrolinx Adjacent Construction Review (ACR) team is involved with the review of adjacent development projects in order to safeguard the integrity of our rail corridors, ensure that all development proceeds in a safe manner, and confirm that associated construction activities do not interfere with the existing and future operation, maintenance, and expansion of Metrolinx transit services – including GO Transit, UP Express, Light Rail Transit (LRT), Subways.

If you are a property owner who plans to develop lands that are near one of Metrolinx’s existing or planned transit corridors, you may need to get approvals and appropriate permits from Metrolinx to do so.

Each Metrolinx corridor is unique. The level of review, requirements, and safety considerations can vary depending on the type of rail corridor. These corridor specific complexities determine the technical review process and supporting documentation required for approval. ACR is here to assist you with this process and ensure that your plans follow all necessary guidelines, requirements and standards.

This website is designed to guide you through that process; outlining the information, steps, and tools you will need to understand and complete your review efficiently. Use the tabs above to explore each part of the ACR process. Each tab provides key information, resources, and guidance to help you through important steps of your submission and review journey
