What this email is used for

New development or construction near Metrolinx rail corridors

Submit development applications and supporting materials for review when proposing new buildings or construction adjacent to Metrolinx corridors.

Utility or roadway work near rapid transit corridors

Register utility or roadway project activities (such as excavation, road work, street events etc.) for Metrolinx review prior to construction.

Utility or Municipal work within Metrolinx‑owned GO Transit rail corridors

Register construction work and request permits for activities within or adjacent to GO Transit rail corridors.

Unauthorized work or safety concerns near rapid transit corridors

Report work taking place without Metrolinx approval or situations that may present safety or compliance concerns.

What to include with your inquiry

If you have a specific development proposal, please include:

  • Property address and legal description
  • A description of the proposed work
  • A site plan
  • Architectural drawings (if available)
  • Traffic control plans (for works in municipal Right-of-Way)

An ACR representative will contact you to guide you through the Metrolinx review process.

Emergencies

Heavy Rail (GO) Corridor 

  • For emergencies involving third-party works on or near the Heavy Rail (GO) corridor, the 24/7 Mainline Network Operations Control must be contacted immediately at 416-681-5300.

Rapid Transit Corridors 

Eglinton Crosstown LRT (Line 5) and Finch West LRT (Line 6) 

  • For emergencies involving third-party works on or near these corridors, Metrolinx must be notified immediately via ACRenforcement@metrolinx.com, and TTC Transit Control must also be contacted at 416-393-2164 (Option 4 – Duty Manager).
  • All personnel and equipment must maintain a minimum clearance of three (3) metres from any electrified LRT asset at all times. Where this minimum clearance cannot be maintained, the applicant must coordinate with Metrolinx, through TTC Transit Control, to ensure the asset is de-energized prior to proceeding.

All Other Rapid Transit Corridors 

  • For emergencies involving third-party works on or near all other rapid transit corridors, Metrolinx must be notified immediately via ACRenforcement@metrolinx.com.
