Lulled in by milder temperatures during the month, the back-to-chill conditions GO Transit customers are facing this morning means finding the right headspace – and grabbing the thicker coat again.

Here’s a recent story and video we published showing some of the small and big technical changes we’ve made to winterize our trains this year.

And did you know:

• Our Station Services team and contractors provide winter maintenance to 86 GO Stations and Park & Rides across the region
• 20 GO Stations use specialize snow melt systems installed under the platform levels that automatically detect snow and heat up to melt any accumulation
• In extreme weather events, our crews extend station building hours to allow those waiting for their ride to wait inside a warm area.

We know any lull during winter won’t last long. But we know, as travellers and a transit agency responsible for getting you through it all, we’re all in this together.

And spring is so very close.
