Mount Dennis gets permanent electricity to the LRT station
In the latest batch of progress photos, there's images of power - showing the scale of the work.

We normally take power for granted.
Other than losing it in a storm, it’s usually there when we hit a light switch.
But it’s a big deal when a major transit station gets officially plugged into the Toronto electrical grid. Among the latest images out of the Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit (LRT) project, is a shot of Mount Dennis Station, which now has permanent power.

Now, the focus will be to extending that power eastward along the new Toronto LRT line.
Speaking of power, there’s also a photo from Eglinton Station, as crews continue to install large conduits which will hold cable. Think about the wiring you may have seen in your home, and now look at the scale of this work, using the workman on the right of the photo.

And finally, at Oakwood Station, the secondary entrance is coming together, as rebar installation crests above street level.

So, ummm, clearly lots of electricity in the air for all the latest Crosstown progress.
