Train testing on western section of Crosstown LRT starts

Not every section of concrete is like the last.
Some literally pave the way for tremendous advancements, especially when it comes to the Eglinton Crosstown light rail transit route.
Among a number of new photos of progress on the Toronto line, is an image taken just west of Mount Dennis. It shows the final concrete roof slab for the pedestrian tunnel having been poured. Now, permanent power and communications lines can be connected, allowing train testing on the western part of the line.

As well, at the Pharmacy stop, shelters are now in place along both the north and south platforms. Similar shelter installations will take place at a number of other stops throughout the summer.

And we also have an update at Science Centre station, where temporary road decking is being removed in the middle of the intersection and permanent roadway is being restored.
