Stouffville Line GO Expansion

Old Elm GO Station

A better Old Elm GO Station is coming.

Metrolinx is relocating and improving Old Elm (formerly Lincolnville) GO Station. This new station will serve more customers like you as we introduce two-way, all-day GO train services, and provide an exceptional experience getting around, to and from the station.

Whether you are traveling to work or visiting friends and family – we’re committed to getting you there better, faster, easier.

Renaming of Lincolnville GO Station to Old Elm GO Station

On October 16, 2021, Lincolnville GO Station was officially renamed to Old Elm GO Station to acknowledge the historic 200-year-old elm tree that sits on the site of the relocated GO station. Construction of the relocated GO station is expected to be completed in 2022.

During the planning and consultation phase for the new and relocated Old Elm (formerly Lincolnville) GO Station, Metrolinx learned of the importance of the 200-year-old elm tree to the Lincolnville community, and worked with the community and local stakeholders to preserve the tree while continuing to honour our commitment to deliver on the future relocated GO Station.
