Rutherford GO Station
A new and improved station to better serve you
Major upgrades at Rutherford GO Station are complete, with new connections for pedestrians and cyclists, improved train platforms, modern customer amenities, and more parking spaces. Additional secured bike storage will be opening later.
We’ve transformed Rutherford GO and will deliver on more train service in the future. Upgrades to Rutherford GO is part of the GO Expansion program, which will transform GO rail from a rush-hour service to a more frequent, two-way, all-day rapid transit experience.
Project overview
We've made it easier for you to get in and out of the station, no matter how you get to Rutherford.
The upgraded bus loop creates more seamless connections to GO Transit and York Region Transit along with an improved Kiss & Ride area.
The underpass on Rutherford Road from Westburne Drive to Peter Rupert Avenue improves service reliability and reduces congestion by enabling trains to travel above traffic.
