Track your stop - ridership map shows growth across the network
Customers choose GO Transit for short distance trips, more service options and event partnerships.

You’ve probably noticed many new faces on the GO service in the past few months.
An updated ridership map from April to September 2019 shows a continuing trend of growth at 4.1 per cent.
Barrie grew more than 11 per cent, while Richmond Hill and Lakeshore East each saw ridership increase more than six per cent. Midday service ridership on Lakeshore East jumped 7.3 per cent.
Mark Childs, Chief Marketing Officer for Metrolinx, said GO’s 34 per cent service increase since 2017 has contributed to making transit a more convenient and easier choice across the region, especially during midday and weekends.
He expects the trend to continue following additional service introduced in September and November, and upcoming holiday events such as The Santa Claus Parade, One of a Kind Show and Aurora Winter Festival.
Successful summer event combo-tickets partnerships, e-tickets and Kids GO Free also helped to attract GO customers in and out of Toronto for fun and entertainment.
Short-distance trips within Toronto proved particularly popular with ridership at stations such as Danforth, Scarborough and Kennedy experiencing growth of 24.3%, 19.8% and 22.7% respectively.
“We are excited to see GO as a preferred choice for attendees to long-standing and new events such as the CNE, Cirque du Soleil Alegria and the Ontario Universities Fair, with over 500,000 event-related boardings in August and September alone,” Childs said.
“As December approaches we will to bring to life collaborations with holiday events across the region including fun opportunities to meet GO Bear, ease some of the stress of the season getting customers easily to shopping destinations and riding on our holiday-themed GO bus.”
