Last month, the first concrete pour took place at the eastern surface section near Eglinton Square for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT project.

The pour went off without a hitch!

This despite the fact weather was sub-zero. This meant crews had to make use of some cold-weather construction tools. They included warming blankets to help the concrete set.

It’s one thing to be able to stand on a platform and enjoy modern and reliable public transit. But in the worst kind of weather, men and women worked to make those trips possible.
