More transit connecting Davenport neighbourhoods
More transit. More connections. More for your neighbourhood.
May 27, 2026
Across Davenport, a coordinated set of transit projects is transforming how people will move through their neighbourhoods.
The work is more than just new tracks and stations. These investments are also advancing community priorities, reconnecting neighbourhoods across the rail corridor, improving accessibility, and introducing new public spaces.
At its core, this work reflects a simple idea: more transit, more connections, more for your neighbourhood.
A better-connected Davenport
Davenport is a group of connected neighbourhoods in Toronto’s west end, including communities such as the Junction Triangle, Caledonia–Fairbank, the Stockyards, and Dovercourt-Wallace Emerson.
Metrolinx is connecting these neighbourhoods through coordinated transit and community improvements, helping people move more easily across the area while strengthening the connections between where they live, work, and spend time.
Local benefits you can see and feel
- 3 new stations: Bloor-Lansdowne GO Station, Caledonia GO Station, and St Clair-Old Weston Station will open up even more travel possibilities through GO and UP Express services, helping residents travel more easily across Toronto and beyond.
- Approximately 5 kilometres of new multi-use paths, connecting Davenport Road to Dundas Street West, will improve local connectivity and active transportation options.
- 1 new park and more than 10 new connections to multi-use pathways will create more opportunities for residents to explore, gather, and enjoy their neighbourhoods.
A network of projects, working together
Metrolinx is advancing 8 projects in the Davenport area that will make it one of Toronto’s most connected communities. Each project is part of a bigger plan, working together to create a seamless and convenient travel experience for everyone, whether you are taking GO Transit, the UP Express, connecting to the TTC, or travelling by bike or on foot.
These projects include:
- Davenport Diamond Guideway and Greenway: Elevating rail infrastructure while creating new green space and a multi-use trail beneath, reconnecting neighbourhoods across the corridor.
- Bloor–Lansdowne GO Station: A new station improving access to GO services and expanding travel options for nearby communities.
- St. Clair–Old Weston GO Station: Bringing convenient rail access closer to residents and supporting local growth.
- Caledonia Line 5 and GO Station: A major interchange connecting GO Transit with Line 5, making transfers faster and more seamless.
- Kitchener Rail Corridor Works and West Toronto Railpath Realignment: Expanding rail capacity while improving and extending active transportation routes.
- Barrie Rail Corridor Works: Supporting more frequent and reliable GO service along the Barrie rail corridor.
- Bloor GO–Dundas West TTC Connection: Improving connections between GO Transit and the TTC, making transfers quicker and more convenient.
- Barrie Downtown Corridor: A new multi-use pathway from Dundas Street West to Lansdowne Avenue will connect into the Davenport Diamond Greenway and West Toronto Railpath, creating a continuous active transportation route through the corridor.
By improving transit and mobility options while enhancing public spaces, these projects support long-term growth and help ensure Davenport remains a vibrant, connected community for years to come.
All these projects coming to life in Davenport showcase what is possible when infrastructure is planned with communities in mind; a future where transit not only moves people efficiently but also brings neighbourhoods closer together.
