New progress photos show Humber College stop on Finch West LRT

Lots of recent construction progress on Toronto’s Finch West light rail transit project.

In between all those construction pylons, lies some important pieces of new transit coming to Finch Avenue West.

We thought we’d let the pictures speak for themselves.

So here’s what that progress looks like, as well as the details behind the work.

Back in July, the first Alstom vehicle made its arrival onsite at the Finch West Maintenance and Storage Facility (MSF). With crews working to power now the MSF, the vehicle will soon start low speed testing around the site. (Metrolinx photo)

A closer look at the site.

This is where the light rail vehicle (LRV) will enter and exit the station. Concrete pours are continuing for the station’s base and preliminary construction for track installation will start later this year. (Metrolinx photo)
