Missing dog found by Crosslinx worker after six weeks
How beloved dog Boomer found his way home after six weeks on the lamb in Toronto.

Losing your pup is every dog owner’s nightmare.
That’s exactly what happened to Simon Chadwick.
His three-year-old lab-mix named Boomer went missing in late October after he got loose from a relative’s home in Toronto.

And after six weeks without a whiff of finding him, Chadwick was beginning to give up hope.
But all that changed when he recently got a call from Toronto Animal Services.
Just last week, Crosslinx site supervisor Scott Shaw was arriving to start his day at the Cedarvale Station construction site for the Eglinton Crosstown LRT – when he noticed something strange.
To his surprise, there was a small black dog hiding under some decking. After he managed to coax the dog out, he noticed it had a collar and called Toronto Animal Services – the rest is history.
Boomer was quickly reunited with his owners and is now safely back home in Oakville where Chadwick and his partner live.
