Connecting residents across Peel Region with the Hazel McCallion Line
The new LRT will help residents travel between Brampton, Mississauga and beyond.
Oct 10, 2023
The Hazel McCallion Line will span 18 kilometres with 19 stops along the way from Port Credit Station to Brampton Gateway Terminal.
This deliberate design allows commuters access to an array of transit systems, encompassing MiWay, Brampton Transit, and Züm buses, as well as GO Trains from Cooksville and Port Credit GO Stations.
Here are a few of the transit connections that will be available to commuters on the Hazel McCallion Line:
Brampton Gateway Terminal
The northern terminus station on the Hazel McCallion Line, Brampton Gateway Terminal is a hub connecting transit riders to Sheridan College, Bramalea City Centre, University of Toronto (U of T) Mississauga, and Humber College.
City Centre
City Centre Transit Terminal is one of the largest transit hubs in Mississauga, located right at Square One.
Once complete, the LRT will make its way into the area via the elevated guideway, stopping at Rathburn in front of GYGO (a new entertainment complex, formerly the Playdium building).
From there, you can connect to Hamilton, Guelph and beyond via GO Buses, as well as the University of Toronto and Kipling Station via MiWay buses and Brampton via Züm.
Cooksville GO Station
Cooksville GO is a transit hub connecting riders throughout Mississauga via MiWay buses and to Milton/Toronto via GO Trains.
While the LRT will not enter the station itself, it will stop at John Street, a short walk from the terminal building.
Port Credit GO Station
As the southern terminus station on the Hazel McCallion Line, Port Credit GO Station offers convenient access for commuters heading into Toronto for work or leisure, as well as those planning to head west towards Hamilton and onto Niagara Falls.
By simply tapping a Presto Card or using one of the PRESTO contactless payment options, navigating within and beyond Peel Region will be elevated to a new level of convenience.
