What’s in a name?
A great deal, if it’s to become your stop along Eglinton Crosstown’s light rail transit (LRT) route.

The latest update images show the work crews have been doing at Keelesdale, as they put up the urban tapestry that spells out the station’s name. For Toronto’s Silverthorn neighbourhood, the bit of housekeeping branding will soon become an iconic transit point to start and end busy days.
So the name – even against a platform wall – is an important step.
And speaking of steps. At Oakwood Station, experts have been busy installing tile at the platform level. How many travellers will walk across the cool, white flooring in the years to come?

While these touches are ones future customers will notice from the first time they use the Crosstown line, there’s still ongoing heavy construction work that is a bit deeper than most casual eyes will notice. It includes a new concrete pour at street level of the southeast entrance at Chaplin Station.

Needed work. But it’s seeing that name against the platform wall that sends a nice message about journeys to come.
