Scarborough Subway Extension

Extending Line 2 subway service 7.8 km farther into the heart of Scarborough.

Sheppard and McCowan station

As the northern terminus of the three-stop Scarborough Subway Extension, this new station will bring direct access to rapid transit to customers who live and work north of Highway 401.

A new station in this area means that customers in the northern parts of Scarborough will have to spend less time on buses to travel downtown. For drivers in this area, there will be fewer buses on the road as these buses will be able to terminate at Sheppard and McCowan instead of Scarborough Centre.

This station is being designed to ultimately provide an interchange with an extension of the proposed Sheppard Subway (Line 4). It will feature a TTC bus terminal with passenger pick-up and drop-off facilities.
