Scarborough Subway Extension

Extending Line 2 subway service 7.8 km farther into the heart of Scarborough.

Kennedy Station

As the current terminus of the TTC's Line 2, Kennedy Station is being upgraded to allow for the extension of Line 2 subway service.

The station site has been reoriented for a temporary bus loop and new auxiliary buildings, and work is ongoing to expand the station’s existing service rooms, safety and security systems, integrate the new power system and build the Kennedy Box Structure (KBS) - an underground structure connecting the existing Kennedy station with the extension’s tunnel boring machine extraction shaft at Eglinton Avenue East and Midland Avenue.
