Located at the intersection of Avenue Road and Eglinton Avenue West is the future home of Avenue Station for the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit (LRT) line.

The underground station includes two entrances – the main, fully accessible entrance at the northwest corner of Avenue Road and Eglinton Avenue, and the secondary entrance at the north side of Eglinton between Avenue Road and Oriole Parkway.

When the station opens, there will be retail spaces at both street level entrances. There will also be on-street connections to TTC buses and 50 outdoor bicycle parking spaces.

The latest video provides a view of the work that’s happening at surface level, with a clear view of the station’s future main entrance.

Below, work continues at platform level with escalators installed and ongoing rail installation

The station will act as a turnback station, meaning that trains will be able to change directions without disrupting service, and has special trackwork in place for vehicle operations.
