Some Lakeshore West GO trips affected by the Hurontario LRT work
Construction work will affect Lakeshore West GO train service on April 3 and 10.
Mar 30, 2022
Lakeshore West GO Train service will be partially replaced by buses on two Sundays in a row in early April.
While Metrolinx is bringing back 30-minute service on weekends and weekday evenings on the Lakeshore West Line between Aldershot GO and Union Station, customers will need to check their schedules as construction on the Hurontario light rail transit (LRT) project will affect train service between Union Station and Oakville on April 3 and 10.

Why is this happening?
Metrolinx is carrying out important construction work for the Hurontario LRT project near Port Credit GO Station that can only happen safely when trains aren’t running.
GO Trains will still run hourly between West Harbour GO and Oakville GO on April 3 and 10, where buses will be available to take customers between Oakville GO and Union Station Bus Terminal.
On Sunday April 3 and 10, GO Trains will still run hourly between West Harbour and Oakville GO where GO buses will shuttle customers between Oakville GO and Union Station Bus Terminal. (Metrolinx photo)
Customers who use Long Branch, Mimico, or Exhibition GO will not have bus or train service and will have to use local transit providers like the TTC.
