Service updates for Lakeshore East/West and Stouffville Lines
Nov. 26-28, construction work will affect service on Stouffville and Lakeshore East/West Lines.

Lakeshore East customers will need to plan ahead this weekend as GO train service will be replaced by buses due to construction work.
Lakeshore West and Stouffville Line customers will also see minor schedule changes this weekend, but they are much more minor compared to the last few weekends.
Beginning Friday, Nov. 26 at 10:10 p.m. until the end of service on Sunday, Nov. 28, there will be no Lakeshore East GO train service so construction crews can safely work on upgrading the Rouge River bridge. There is also some important track work being done at the same time.
By shutting down the corridor, construction crews can safely and efficiently get a lot of work done over the course of the weekend.
In particular, work continues on the rehabilitation of the Rouge River bridge. This work will also affect Lakeshore East GO train service over the weekend of Dec. 10-12. This project should be done by summer 2022.

Additional rail crossing rehabilitation, track infrastructure, and accessibility upgrades are also happening at Eglinton GO Station to improve train speeds, service life, and reliability.

Friday, Nov. 26:
Eastbound to Oshawa
- The Union Station 9:05 p.m. – Oshawa GO 10:05 p.m. trip will be the last train to make all stops to Oshawa GO – buses will then replace trains for the rest of the night
- All buses will depart from Union Station Bus Terminal, running express to Pickering GO then making all stops to Oshawa GO
Westbound to Union Station
- The 9:20 p.m. Oshawa – 10:20 p.m. Union Station trip will be the last train to make all stops to Union Station – buses will then replace trains for the rest of the night
- All westbound buses will depart at the same time as regularly scheduled train trips from Oshawa GO, stopping at Whitby, Ajax, and Pickering GO and then running express to Union Station Bus Terminal
Saturday, Nov. 27 – Sunday, Nov. 28:
Eastbound to Oshawa
- All trains will be replaced with bus service
- Bus replacements will depart Union Station Bus Terminal between 5-25 minutes earlier than regularly scheduled train times. Buses will then run express to Pickering GO and make all stops to Oshawa GO
Westbound to Union Station
- All trains will be replaced with bus service
- Bus replacements will depart Oshawa GO at the same time as regularly scheduled train service and 5 minutes later. Buses will make all stops to Pickering GO and then run express to Union Station Bus Terminal

How do replacement buses work?
Replacement buses will only service Pickering, Ajax, Whitby, and Oshawa GO stations. For alternative transit options at Danforth, Scarborough, Eglinton, Guildwood, and Rouge Hill GO please use Triplinx to plan your trip.
Additional Stouffville train service is also being added at Danforth and Scarborough GO to provide customers with more transit options to Union Station.
To ensure GO bus drivers can be assigned to regularly scheduled GO bus trips, Metrolinx is working with Coach Canada to help get people where they need to go.

Replacement buses will be available at Oshawa, Whitby, Ajax, and Pickering GO station bus loops to take people to and from Union Station Bus Terminal. GO staff will be on site to help guild riders and answer questions.
GO Transit will accommodate customers travelling with bikes and pets, so they can get where they need to go.
Lakeshore West Line
Some Lakeshore West GO train times will also change this coming weekend (Nov. 26-28) due to track signal work between Burlington and West Harbour GO Stations.
On top of that, the departure times of two trains from Niagara Falls to Toronto’s Union Station on Sunday, Nov. 28 will also be affected due to construction.
Stouffville Line
Some Stouffville Line GO train times are temporarily changing this weekend, starting Friday after 10:00 p.m.
GO Transit officials recommend Lakeshore East, Lakeshore West, and Stouffville Line customers plan ahead before leaving the house as trips could take longer than usual.
