GO stations to serve as temporary road test centres

Ontario government uses some GO station lots as temp road test centres as pandemic limitations ease.

Nov 3, 2021

They’re typically used for customers to park their vehicles before boarding a GO train or bus, but some GO station parking lots now have a new – albeit temporary – purpose.

Those looking to book their passenger road tests (class G2/G) can now do so at Burlington GO, Mount Joy GO, East Gwillimbury GO, and Oshawa GO, which offer convenient locations – and ample space – to put their driving skills to the literal test.

Although pandemic restrictions are easing, we aren’t out of the woods yet. Those taking their driving test will need to follow COVID-19 health and safety protocols, including wearing face masks inside centres and during road tests, and completing health screening.
