Finch Avenue LRT maintenance and storage facility takes shape
The latest Finch West LRT video takes you over the new line plus images of maintenance facility.
Jun 23, 2021
This story goes up and even into the Finch West Light Rail Transit (LRT) line, thanks to new drone video as well as images of the Maintenance and Storage Facility (MSF).
That building will be the central home for the light rail vehicles.
All of the corridor is under construction with activities ranging from road widening works, excavation and track installation.
Guideway work has already started in certain sections as crews gear up for vehicle testing that will start later this year.
To get a look at the route, check out this new drone video.
And construction continues at the MSF where crews have installed a majority of the track and continue to prepare the interior of the facility for the arrival of the light rail vehicles.
The completed MSF will include a main shop for vehicle repairs, car wash facility, material storage building, administration office and 122 parking spots for staff. Read more about the Finch West LRT MSF online.
