It’s not often that normal traffic is a thing to be celebrated.

But an important image from the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit (LRT) project route shows a real milestone when it comes to the flow of cars and trucks around the Keelesdale Station.

The entrance to that stop is standing tall over the intersection, where crews have now fully re-paved and finished the road surface, including the installation of bike lanes. With only finishing touches like traffic light replacement left, all turns have been reinstated and will remain open. That’s big news for locals trying to get around the area.

They will still see occasional short-term lane reductions for finishing works, like final sidewalk restoration and landscaping, but the big traffic disruptions are at an end.

Meanwhile, at Oakwood Station, crews have completed the installation of escalators spanning between the concourse and the platform levels. So things are, well, looking up there as well.

Also on our list of new images is one from Cedarvale. At that station, builders have completed a concrete pour for the upper concourse level, getting them one step closer to completing the station’s permanent structure beneath Eglinton Avenue.

So movement – above and below ground – is humming along on Crosstown construction.
