GO bus service and parking changes at Langstaff GO

Bus stops to be relocated; south GO parking lot will be closed for an extended period.

Apr 15, 2026

If you travel through Langstaff GO, there are upcoming changes you should know about that will affect access and services at the station.

Starting April 27, two stops on the #61 - Richmond Hill GO bus route, including the stop that currently serves Langstaff GO, will move to new locations.

As of April 28, the south commuter parking lot and passenger pick-up and drop-off area at Langstaff GO will close for an extended period to support construction work.

During this time, there will be no access to the GO station or train platform from Langstaff Road or the south parking lot.

Customers should use the north GO parking lot and passenger pick-up and drop-off area, located off Red Maple Road, which will remain open while the south lot is closed.

Building a future transit hub

The work happening at Langstaff GO includes relocation of underground and surface-level utilities, and preparing work sites for future construction of a new transit hub for York Region as part of the Yonge North Subway Extension.

The future Bridge Station – one of five new stations along the extension – will offer convenient connections to GO buses, local and regional bus routes, and GO train services at Langstaff GO.

Extending TTC Line 1 service approximately eight kilometres farther north will put thousands of people on transit each day, easing traffic congestion and reducing greenhouse gas emissions across the region.
