What is Happening?
What to expect
Work areas will be clearly marked or fenced off to ensure public safety.
Please exercise caution around active construction sites.
Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic Changes
- Gerrard St. E. will be reduced for the duration of the work. Signage will redirect traffic around the work zones.
- Two-way directional traffic will be maintained during the work.
- A paid duty officer, flaggers and detour signs will be onsite to direct traffic as needed.
Pedestrian Access
- Temporary sidewalk closures or pedestrian detours will be in place while the work is underway, with signs in place to direct pedestrians as needed.
- Clear and defined walking paths will be maintained during construction to ensure pedestrian safety.
Noise and Vibration
- Crews will take measures to minimize disruptions to the surrounding area wherever possible.
Transit Service
The 506 Carlton Streetcar will be closed for the duration of the work. Signs will be posted to keep residents informed.
