What is Happening?

As part of ongoing work at Gertrude and Muriel to restore the road and install a taller sound wall, construction vehicles may use Gertrude Place to access the Pape-Danforth work site via the access point on Gertrude Place. Paid duty officers and traffic flaggers will be in place to safely direct vehicles and pedestrians. This will only happen as needed when alternative access to the site is limited due to site constraints.

What to expect

  • Work areas will be clearly marked or fenced off to ensure public safety.
  • Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Trucks leaving the site will use Gertrude Place .
  • Trucks entering the site will use Gertrude Place.

Traffic Changes

  • Gertrude Place will be reduced for periods of time during the work. Signage will redirect traffic around the work zones.
  • A paid duty officer, flaggers and detour signs will be onsite to direct traffic as needed.

Pedestrian Access

  • Pedestrian detours may be required, with signs in place to direct pedestrians as needed.

Noise and Vibration

  • Crews will take measures to minimize disruptions to the surrounding area wherever possible.

Transit Service

  • There is no anticipated impact to transit services.
