What is Happening?
What to expect
- Residents can expect to see and hear noise from large machinery, such as drills, excavators, dump trucks and equipment. Construction lighting may be visible on the work site.
- Measures are being put in place to reduce dust, including the use of water sprayers and biodegradable dust suppressants.
- Weekend or overnight work may be required. Residents will be provided with updates as they are made available.
- The information provided is anticipated based on the current construction schedule and is subject to change.
- Work is subject to permit approval from the City of Toronto
Traffic Changes
- Eastbound traffic approaching Kipling Avenue will now be maintained with one through lane and one dedicated right-turn lane.
- One westbound and eastbound lane will be closed during this phase of construction.
- There will be additional traffic stages related to this work in the future. Further notification will be provided.
Pedestrian Access
- The multi-use path and south sidewalk will be maintained at all times during this phase of construction.
Noise and Vibration
- Sound walls, post and panel structures, have been installed around the work sites to dampen and reduce noise from construction.
Transit Service
- Northbound bus stop #4304 on the southeast corner of the Eglinton Avenue West and Kipling Avenue intersection will be temporarily relocated 10 meters further south.
- Southbound bus stop #4305 on the northwest corner will be temporarily relocated 60 meters north on the nearside of the intersection.
- Eastbound bus stop #2370 on the southwest corner will be temporarily relocated 90 meters east on the far side of the intersection.
