What is Happening?
What to expect
Construction lighting may be visible from the work site.
Where possible, lights from equipment will be positioned away from residential homes to keep light pollution levels low.
Increased presence of construction vehicles and equipment can be expected in the work area.
Work areas will be clearly marked or fenced off to ensure public safety.
There will be no impact from hauling or trucks.
Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic Changes
There will be a full road closure on Centre Street. A detour route will be in place.
Pedestrian Access
Sidewalks along the Centre Street road closure will be closed and restricted to local access only between Walton Drive and Centre Street, with no access across the tracks. Detour signage will be in place for pedestrians.
Please exercise caution around active construction sites.
Noise and Vibration
- Residences and businesses in the area may experience noise and vibration caused by construction equipment related to this work.
- Crews will take measures to minimize disruptions to the surrounding area wherever possible.
- Trucks accessing the site will be equipped with broadband backup alarms, which emit a less disruptive sound compared to traditional beeping backup alarms.
