A GO bus driving along the road

GO Transit extending rail trips, adjusting schedules and rerouting some GO Buses

Schedule adjustments gives people more time to get on board Lakeshore West and Barrie Line trains.

Sep 20, 2022

A number of weekday evening Lakeshore West trips are being extended to West Harbour GO.

Also, some GO Train schedules will be adjusted to better reflect travel times and help people board more easily.

Every minute counts, so customers on the Lakeshore West, Lakeshore East, Richmond Hill, Barrie, Stouffville, and Milton Lines should check their schedules for minor adjustments, including trips departing a couple of minutes earlier or later, to ensure they get to their platforms at the right time.

Routing adjustments on some GO Bus routes:

From Saturday, Oct. 1, GO bus routes 52 and 56 will service the new Cornell Bus Terminal in Markham. Located south of Markham Stouffville Hospital, it will offer connections to YRT and Viva bus routes.

Also starting in October, GO Bus stops at the Scarborough Centre Bus Terminal will be relocated to a new, interim stop on Borough Drive, west of Scarborough Town Centre.

This change affects routes 41, 92, 92A, 94 and 96B.

This stop will be in service until a new, permanent bus terminal opens as part of the Scarborough Subway Extension.

Future adjustments to help build and maintain critical infrastructure:

This fall, there will be construction on GO rail lines to build and maintain critical infrastructure.

To accommodate this work, on some weekends, trains will operate on an adjusted schedule or be replaced with buses.

As always gotransit.com and triplinx.ca are available for trip planning. Schedule change pages for trains and buses offer real-time service details.
