Welcome

Metrolinx is building the Yonge North Subway Extension to bring TTC Line 1 subway service farther into North York and York Region. The project includes five new stations along an extension of approximately eight kilometres.

As part of this work, we will be building an above-ground train storage facility in Richmond Hill that will be used to store, inspect and lightly clean subway trains while they are not in service.

Between October 16 and October 31, 2025, Metrolinx will host an open house with both virtual and in-person participation options. This will be your chance to learn more about the train storage facility, ask questions, and share your feedback.

Starting October 16, 2025 you can explore the open house virtually at any time. You’ll be able to:

• Watch the recorded video presentation
• Review presentation materials
• Submit your questions to our project team

The online question period will close at 5 p.m. on Friday, October 31, 2025.

In-person open house:
