What is Happening?
What to expect
- Trucks and construction equipment may generate dust during construction.
- Increased presence of construction vehicles and equipment can be expected in the work area.
- Work areas will be clearly marked or fenced off to ensure public safety.
- Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic Changes
- Minor delays may be experienced near the work zone.
- Nugget Avenue will be reduced for the duration of the work. Signage will redirect traffic around the work zones.
- Nugget Avenue will be rerouted for the duration of the work. Signage will redirect traffic around the work zones.
- Two-way directional traffic will be maintained during the work.
- A paid duty officer, flaggers and detour signs will be onsite to direct traffic as needed.
- All businesses in the area will remain open during the work. Please follow signage for access.
Pedestrian Access
- Pedestrian detours may be required, with signs in place to direct pedestrians as needed.
- Clear and defined walking paths will be maintained during construction to ensure pedestrian safety.
Noise and Vibration
- Residences and businesses in the area may experience noise and vibration caused by construction equipment related to this work.
Transit Service
The bus stops at Nugget Avenue near McCowan Road will be temporarily relocated away from work zones to the east.
