As part of Scarborough Subway Extension construction, crews need to relocate utilities near the intersection of Nugget Avenue and McCowan Road. This work has now been extended until July 31.
Lanes are currently diverted to the south for approximately two weeks and then will revert back to the north.

- Work areas will be clearly marked or fenced off to ensure public safety.

Traffic Changes
- Minor delays may be experienced near the work zone.
- Two-way directional traffic will be maintained during the work.
- A paid duty officer, flaggers and detour signs will be onsite to direct traffic as needed.
- All businesses in the area will remain open during the work. Please follow signage for access.
Pedestrian Access
- Pedestrian detours may be required, with signs in place to direct pedestrians as needed.
- Clear and defined walking paths will be maintained during construction to ensure pedestrian safety.
Noise and Vibration
- Residences and businesses in the area may experience noise and vibration caused by construction equipment related to this work.
Transit Service
The bus stops at Nugget Avenue near McCowan Road will be temporarily relocated away from work zones to the east.. Signs will be posted to keep residents informed.
