As construction progresses on the Hazel McCallion Line LRT, crews continue to carry out work along Hurontario Street between 407 ETR and Steeles Avenue. Current activities include track installation and maintenance, electrical and telecommunications work, roadwork, installation of stop shelters, and energizing Traction Power Substations (TPSS), which will provide power to LRT vehicles.

What is Happening?
What to expect
- Upcoming activities will include final trackwork completion, telecommunications and hydro utility relocation and installation works, installation of permanent traffic signal infrastructure, roadway construction and paving, continued TPSS installations and energization activities, and LRT stop installation works.
- Additional project activities will include landscaping, LRV testing, and other system integration activities as the project progresses toward completion.
- Hurontario Street facing driveways to properties may be intermittently impacted during this duration.
- Some of this work may be scheduled overnight and on weekends for a variety of reasons including lower traffic volumes and weather-related impacts.
- Construction lighting may be visible from the work site. Where possible, lights from equipment will be positioned away from residential homes to keep light pollution levels low.
- Trucks and construction equipment may generate dust during construction. Crews will take precautions to monitor and reduce dust.
- Increased presence of construction vehicles and equipment can be expected in the work area.
- Work areas will be clearly marked or fenced off to ensure public safety.
- Please exercise caution around active construction sites.
- Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic Changes
