What is Happening?
Light Rail Vehicle (LRV) testing will be conducted from the Operation, Maintenance and Storage Facility (OMSF) to Hurontario Street via Edwards Boulevard and Topflight Drive.
To safely perform the slow-speed testing (10km/h), Paid Duty Officers and flaggers will be on site to assist with traffic control, including bi-directional train movements.
Intermittent property access closures may occur during the testing phase. Testing is scheduled to take place between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. starting as early as August 11, 2026.
What to expect
- Increased presence of construction vehicles and equipment can be expected in the work area.
- Please exercise caution around active construction sites.
- Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic Changes
- Minor delays may be experienced near the work zone.
Pedestrian Access
- All pedestrian sidewalks will remain open throughout the work.
Noise and Vibration
- Crews will take measures to minimize disruptions to the surrounding area wherever possible.
Transit Service
- There is no anticipated impact to transit services.
