The Hamilton LRT route

What is Happening?

Utilities must be relocated, protected, or otherwise accommodated before major LRT construction can proceed. This work helps ensure that utility companies and the City of Hamilton can continue to access, maintain, inspect, and upgrade critical infrastructure once the LRT is in operation. As part of the detailed design phase of the Hamilton LRT, additional field investigations are required. These investigations will help confirm the precise location and condition of underground utilities along the corridor. Over the coming months, the team will investigate locations along the LRT alignment to validate existing information and collect additional data needed to support project design and construction planning.
