As part of ongoing state of good repair work, Metrolinx will replace a culvert within the Barrie Line rail corridor adjacent to Tamarac Trail in Aurora (Figure 1). This work will improve drainage and help prevent flooding and erosion. The existing culvert beneath the tracks will be replaced with a new steel pipe culvert, followed by track surfacing activities. Beginning November 9, crews will mobilize equipment and create an access pathway to the rail corridor from Maple Fields Circle. Construction is expected to begin November 13 and continue throughout the weekend. Daytime work will be prioritized where possible.
