Quick access to the information you need for a hassle-free commute.
Oct 30, 2024
Whether you're new to the region or a frequent traveler on the GO Transit network, checking schedules in advance is the best way to ensure a smooth trip. Here are five different options to access up-to-date GO bus and GO train schedules for your next journey.
GO Transit Website: Best option if you’re only traveling with GO Transit
If you are looking to take a GO bus or train from anywhere along the network, use the Trip Planner on gotransit.com. Located on our official GO Transit website, this trip planning tool lets you search for routes and schedules in real time. Simply enter your departure and destination locations, and it will show you route options, departure times, and fare information.
You can also apply trip filters by selecting your preferred mode of travel (train or bus) and search accessible stations by enabling the “Accessible Trip” option. Once you have planned your trip, e-tickets and passes can also be purchased via the website by using a credit card.
PDF Schedules: Best option for visitors and tourists
New to the region and prefer an offline option? Download the PDF versions of GO bus and train schedules directly from our website. You can print or save the schedules to access on your phone, tablet, or computer for quick reference. This is a great option for those who don’t have access to a smartphone, or are low on data or signal range. We recommend giving yourself ample time to account for potential service changes and be aware of any upcoming major track closures that may affect your trip.
Digital Information Screens: Best option for customers transferring mid-journey
Digital displays can be found at all GO Transit and UP Express stations and are a reliable source for real-time schedule updates for trains and buses. Customers can refer to the screens to find departure times, platform information, and notifications on delays, making it easy to stay informed while in transit.
Earlier this year, we debuted a new look for the digital information screens at Union Station in the concourse and on the platforms. They have since been rolled out to the entire GO and UP network, standardizing the visual experience across the system, making taking transit even easier.
Google Maps: Best option for the multi-modal commuter
Smart commuters already know: Whether you are driving, cycling, or walking the first and last mile of your journey, Google Maps is an excellent tool for integrating GO Transit into your commute. Simply enter your destination through the browser or the app, and Google Maps will give you comprehensive transit options, each including departure times, trip duration and directions. Customers can also use Google Maps to check schedules and find connections between GO Transit and other transit services in the region, including TTC, York Region Transit, Brampton Transit.
GO Tracker: Best option for the rail passenger
Imagine a virtual train departure board that you can access anywhere. Perfect for visual learners, GO Tracker offers real-time GO Transit updates on a mobile-friendly platform while displaying train movements on a map. It lets you check specific train schedules and platform locations, view up to 12 upcoming departures, and track any delays or route changes. The site refreshes automatically so you’re always up to date.
Bookmark these options for future use so that you’ll always have GO Transit schedules easily accessible for planning your next journey.
