As part of ongoing construction activities for the Bowmanville Extension, crews working on behalf of Metrolinx will be constructing a new railway bridge over Wilson Road, south of the existing Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) rail bridge (see Figure 1).
The work will include construction of the bridge sub structure (construction ramps, abutments, and retaining walls) followed by the super structure (span and bridge deck). The project will also require track corridor embankment construction, utility relocations, as well as site restoration and landscaping works. As work progresses through various phases, Metrolinx will provide advance notice of upcoming activities and changing impacts by email. Visit metrolinx.com/GetUpdates to join the list.
