What is Happening?
As part of GO Expansion, we are separating road and rail traffic at Galloway Road and putting the road underneath the Lakeshore East railway corridor, known as a grade separation. To prepare for the construction works we need to remove the trees at the front of the properties on Galloway Road in the zone shown above. This work will take place from May 11 to mid-June 2026.
What to expect
Increased presence of construction vehicles and equipment can be expected in the work area.
Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Temporary lane closures that will move along the roadway as work progresses
Clearing away wood chippings
Traffic Changes
- Minor delays may be experienced near the work zone.
Pedestrian Access
- All pedestrian sidewalks will remain open throughout the work.
Noise and Vibration
- Crews will take measures to minimize disruptions to the surrounding area wherever possible.
- Trucks accessing the site will be equipped with broadband backup alarms, which emit a less disruptive sound compared to traditional beeping backup alarms.
Transit Service
- There is no anticipated impact to transit services.
