What is Happening?

We will be carrying out daytime and overnight track work within the railway corridor near Aldergrove Avenue from June 5 to June 8. During this work, residents may notice increased construction vehicle traffic, as well as trackwork activities within the corridor, including the movement of track ballast.

The work will take place during a planned pause in train service (Major Track Closure). During this period, local residents may notice increased construction activity and deliveries to the site.

What to expect

Where possible, lights from equipment will be positioned away from residential homes to keep light pollution levels low.
Trucks and construction equipment may generate dust during construction.
Increased presence of construction vehicles and equipment can be expected in the work area.
Please exercise caution around active construction sites.

Traffic Changes

No disruptions to traffic are anticipated.

Pedestrian Access

All pedestrian sidewalks will remain open throughout the work.

Noise and Vibration

Residences and businesses in the area may experience noise and vibration caused by construction equipment related to this work.
Crews will take measures to minimize disruptions to the surrounding area wherever possible.
To minimize noise impacts on the community, noise and vibration monitoring equipment will be installed prior to construction. These devices will help to detect exceedances early to proactively conduct corrective actions as needed while crews work.
