What is Happening?
As part of the planned upgrade of Oshawa GO Station, we are currently undertaking construction works within the vicinity of the station. Some of the activities underway include surveys and investigations, utilities relocations and the installation of temporary services such as power and water. Later this year or early next year we will be installing bored piles for a future retaining wall and relocating the bus loop to another part of the station car park. More information will be published on the new bus loop in advance of its relocation.
What to expect
- Increased presence of construction vehicles and equipment can be expected in the work area.
- Work areas will be clearly marked or fenced off to ensure public safety.
- Please exercise caution around active construction sites.
Traffic Changes
- No disruptions to traffic are anticipated.
Pedestrian Access
- All pedestrian sidewalks will remain open throughout the work.
- Pedestrian detours may be required, with signs in place to direct pedestrians as needed.
Noise and Vibration
- Residences and businesses in the area may experience noise and vibration caused by construction equipment related to this work.
Transit Service
- There is no anticipated impact to transit services.
