Metrolinx has begun early works construction to support Woodbine GO Station! As part of this work, Metrolinx will be lifting and installing a temporary pedestrian bridge to support future platform construction. These activities will take place on Saturday and Sunday night from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. and will not be continuous. Following this work, Metrolinx crews will be conducting caisson drilling and platform excavation during daytime hours from Monday July 27 to Friday July 31.

What is Happening?
What to expect
- Construction lighting may be visible from the work site.
- Where possible, lights from equipment will be positioned away from residential homes to keep light pollution levels low.
- Trucks and construction equipment may generate dust during construction.
- Crews will take precautions to monitor and reduce dust.
- Increased presence of construction vehicles and equipment can be expected in the work area.
- Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
- Trucks will stage inside the work site and will not stage outside of the site boundaries
Traffic Changes
- A portion of Entrance Road will be closed for the duration of the work. Signage will redirect traffic around the work zones.
- All businesses in the area will remain open during the work. Please follow signage for access.
Pedestrian Access
- All pedestrian sidewalks will remain open throughout the work.
Noise and Vibration
- Residences and businesses in the area may experience noise and vibration caused by construction equipment related to this work.
- Crews will take measures to minimize disruptions to the surrounding area wherever possible.
- To minimize noise impacts on the community, noise monitoring equipment will be installed prior to construction. These devices will help to detect exceedances early to proactively conduct corrective actions as needed while crews work.
- Trucks accessing the site will be equipped with broadband backup alarms, which emit a less disruptive sound compared to traditional beeping backup alarms.
