What is Happening?
As part of early works for the future St. Clair–Old Weston Station, crews will be removing loose vegetation within the Metrolinx right-of-way adjacent to Brickworks Lane. This work is required to support future construction activities, including environmental assessment work and station platform construction.
Crews will access the area on foot using existing Metrolinx-owned property to remove loose vegetation from public view. Residents in the immediate area may experience some noise associated with vegetation clearing. Work is tentatively scheduled to run from May 19-22, 2026, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
What to expect
- Work areas will be clearly marked or fenced off to ensure public safety.
- Please exercise caution around active construction sites.
- Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
Traffic Changes
- No disruptions to traffic are anticipated.
Pedestrian Access
- All pedestrian sidewalks will remain open throughout the work.
Noise and Vibration
- Residences and businesses in the area may experience noise and vibration caused by construction equipment related to this work.
- Crews will take measures to minimize disruptions to the surrounding area wherever possible.
