What is Happening?

As part of preparatory work for the future Stockyards Station, crews will begin removing the existing noise wall and berm along the Metrolinx right-of-way easement near Brickworks Lane. This work is required to support future construction activities, including caisson drilling, utility investigations, and station platform construction, and has been fast-tracked to support the installation of a temporary noise wall before weather conditions prevent this work from being completed.

  • Work areas will be clearly marked or fenced off to ensure public safety, please exercise caution around active construction sites.
  • Work may be delayed or rescheduled due to weather or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Trucks entering and leaving the site will use 153 Weston Road and will stage inside the work site and will not stage outside of the site boundaries
  • Mud mats and a wheel wash system are installed to prevent debris from being tracked onto public roads.
  • Metrolinx is currently reviewing plans related to the four (4) curbside visitor parking spaces located further north along Brickworks Lane.
