As part of early construction work for the St. Clair–Old Weston Station, crews will be working in the Kitchener rail corridor to complete access road grading and track monitoring activities. Crews will also establish a continuous work zone (CWZ) and an access road along Metrolinx lands adjacent to Brickworks Lane.
Work is expected to take place during a weekend pause in service on the Kitchener GO Line, allowing crews to work safely and continuously. Crews will work within a continuous day and night window, from 11:59 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2026, to 3:00 a.m. on Monday, July 27, 2026.

- To minimize noise impacts on the community, noise monitoring equipment will be installed prior to construction. These devices will help to detect exceedances early to proactively conduct corrective actions as needed while crews work.
- Trucks accessing the site will be equipped with broadband backup alarms, which emit a less disruptive sound compared to traditional beeping backup alarms.
