Metrolinx partnered with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) to organize a tree giveaway event at Silvercreek Park.

As we continue to make progress on the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension (ECWE), we’re committed to keeping communities green and thriving. We are happy to announce that Metrolinx ECWE Community Engagement team partnered with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) to organize a tree giveaway event at Silvercreek Park on Saturday, May 2.

We invited the residents of the community to stop by Scarlett Mills Park between 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. to meet the team and pick up a tree or shrub to take home.

• Please dress appropriate for the weather (event will take place rain or shine).
• Please bring work gloves if you have them.

This giveaway is first‑come, first‑served, so be sure to drop by early! Each household can take home up to two plants while supplies last. Plant varieties may change depending on availability.
