Metrolinx has partnered with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) to organize a tree giveaway event at Silvercreek Park.

As we continue to make progress on the Eglinton Crosstown West Extension (ECWE), we’re committed to keeping communities green and thriving. We are happy to announce that Metrolinx ECWE Community Engagement team has partnered with the Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) to organize a tree giveaway event at Silvercreek Park on Saturday, May 3.

We are inviting the residents of the community to stop by Silvercreek Park between 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. to meet the team and pick up a tree or shrub to take home.

Take note of what tree or shrub you’re taking home so you can learn how to plant and care for it.

We encourage you to arrive as soon as possible as there is limited tree inventory available.

All scheduled events will take place rain or shine. In the event of extreme and/or unsafe weather conditions, TRCA staff will email you by 8:00 am the morning of the event if there is a cancellation.
