Upgrades complete at Bloor GO/UP Station

July 31 – Major upgrades at Bloor GO/UP Station are now complete.  

Improvements include a new covered pedestrian pavilion and tunnel that connects the station to Randolph Avenue, giving residents east of the tracks direct access to the station for the first time, creating a safe, convenient link to transit and the surrounding neighbourhood. 

The project also adds 2.5 kilometres of new track to the Kitchener Line between Lansdowne Avenue and Dupont Street to prepare for more frequent service. To make room for the new track, crews realigned and enhanced the West Toronto Railpath, introducing new gardens, seating and a community park at Ernest Avenue. 

Transforming the Kitchener Line into a two-way, all-day rapid transit service is a multi-phase effort requiring new track, upgraded bridges and modernized stations along the entire route.  

Upgrades at Bloor GO/UP Station are creating a more connected transit network, making it easier for people across the region to choose transit for their daily journeys.
